  • Civic Engagement Coordinator -We will work with local communities to improve their relationship with their local elected officials and coordinate workshops and events (see below!) that will make a big impact.   • Annual Muslim Capitol Day in Lansing – The Council organizes this annual visit to Michigan’s capitol with bi-partisan sponsorship to elevate community visibility and voice. The most recent event on May 12, 2015 can be seen above. See pictures from 20122011 here, and the 2013 event pictures are here.
  • Voter Registration Drives

  • Candidates Forums:  MMCC cosponsors candidate forums in multiple areas where community members have an opportunity to meet numerous local, county and state representatives running for elected offices.
